The manual's safety rules

• Outdoors only. Never in a house, garage, tent, caravan, boat or under anything that burns: carbon monoxide can kill.
• At least 60 cm (2 ft) from anything combustible; not on glass or a surface that burns; not in high winds.
• Never water on the coals or on flare-ups.
• No petrol or spirit; lighter fluid is not recommended and can catch fire in the ash catcher.
• Never use it without the ash catcher.
• Do not hang the lid on the bowl handle, and never move the kettle while it is hot.
• Charcoal on the charcoal grate, never on the bowl floor; no foil lining.
• Gloves to EN 407, contact heat level 2 or higher; no loose sleeves; children and pets away; never leave it unattended.
• Hand tools only, and no overtightening.
