Replace the cooking or charcoal grate

Lift out, drop in

No tools. Parts from Weber's shops.

1. With the kettle cold, lift out the cooking grate by its curved handles, insert first.
2. Lift out the charcoal grate, and any charcoal rails you use.
3. Check the brackets inside the bowl that the grates sit on.
4. Lay in the new charcoal grate, 7441 (43 cm).
5. Fit the new cooking grate. UK and EU: the GBS grate, plated 8835 or stainless 8843, with its insert. US: the plain hinged grate 7436, or 8835 to add the insert.
