Catcher and ring, kit 65143

Weber's kit 65143 has the ring, the aluminium catcher (service 65194) and its handle (£82.99 UK, $69.99 US). Weber gives fitting steps only (the assembly guide); removal is that order reversed, this guide's reading.

1. Squeeze the handle and lift the old catcher off.
2. Check the ring. If only the catcher is damaged, hang the new one on the old ring and stop here.
3. To change the ring, take out the 3 legs if they are in the way and turn the bowl upside down on its lid on a soft surface.
4. Turn the ring back against its locking direction and lift it off.
5. Fit the new ring: tabs up into the bowl slots, push down, turn to lock.
6. Refit the legs if you took them out, then hang the new catcher and squeeze until it locks.
