Legs, spring clips, wheels and triangle

A leg that drops out

The assembly guide's leg steps. Weber gives no removal steps; pulling a leg is that order reversed.

  1. With the kettle cold, lift out the grates and take off the ash catcher.
  2. With a helper holding the bowl, pull the loose leg out of its socket.
  3. Look at the spring clip in the leg top: its button must come through the leg hole.
  4. Replace a lost or weak clip: UK 65183 (set of 3) or US leg parts 91732.
  5. Push the leg back into its socket until it clicks.
  6. Check the triangle is still hooked into the front leg.

New legs: UK and EU, the long legs 67580 (rear pair) and 67583 (front), through Weber UK customer service. The US Premium's shorter legs are the kit 65130.

Wheels, hub caps and the triangle

The assembly guide's wheel steps (8657900, to step 11).

  1. Pull the R-clip out of the hole in the axle end.
  2. Take off the star hub cap and slide the wheel off.
  3. Slide the new wheel on: UK and EU, the 8 in wheel 67584 through Weber UK customer service.
  4. Refit the hub cap and push the R-clip through the axle hole.
  5. To change the triangle (UK and EU 67002), take both wheels off, slide the wheel legs off the axle, unhook it from the front leg, then fit the new one in the same order reversed.
  6. Check all 3 legs are clicked home and both wheels spin.

US Premium (assembly guide 57858): 6 in wheels 65930 and triangle 80695, and no R-clips. Each wheel is held by a push-on hub cap, tapped home with a hammer while the other wheel rests on a wooden block. Weber gives no way to take a cap off without spoiling it, so fit new caps (leg parts 91732).
