Inspect the One-Touch blades and vents

Blades, hub and vents

Weber gives no inspection list; these checks follow the manual's one rule, that ash must never block the vents.

1. With the kettle cold and empty, lift out both grates.
2. Move the handle through all 4 settings. It should move smoothly.
3. Look at the 3 blades: bent, rubbing, or rusted through?
4. Check the hub at the centre holds the blades firmly.
5. Clear any ash or grease from the 3 vents.
6. Check the ring is locked under the bowl and the ash catcher locks into it.
