Clean the outside enamel

Warm soapy water only

The manual's method for painted, enamelled and plastic surfaces.

1. Wait until the kettle is cold.
2. Wash the lid, bowl and the grey handles with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth.
3. Rinse with clean water.
4. Dry it thoroughly.
5. Near the sea or a pool, do this regularly: salt and chlorine cause surface rust, and the manual makes it a warranty condition.
6. Clean the heat shield, the lid hook and the ring the same way.

Owners find the grey handles show dirt (TVWBB, owner report): the same soapy water cleans them. Weber UK also sells its own enamel cleaner (17684) and microfibre cloth.
