UK: the cylinder in the cabinet
The manual, pages 6 to 10. Outdoors only, in a well-ventilated place: never in a garage, building, tent or under anything that can burn overhead. Keep 61 cm (24 in) from anything combustible (the manual).
- Check every knob is off: push in and turn clockwise.
- Open the doors. Slide the hose bracket along the hose to the tab inside the left panel and fix it with 1 Phillips screw.
- Lift the cylinder into the cabinet, its base flat in the support and the valve facing the front. Weber's limits: 3 to 13 kg, up to 587 mm high, 318 mm across if round.
- Fasten the cylinder strap.
- Fit the regulator to the valve the way its type needs (the red UK clip-on presses on). Hands only.
- Do the leak test before you light it.
US and Canada: the 20 lb tank hangs on the tank scale. Clip the hose retention clip into the slot under the scale, hang the tank and lock it with the hand nut, then screw the QCC1 coupling on clockwise, hand-tight only: a wrench can damage it (US manual).
