Not on the Pro 780: Super Smoke (Traeger's Pro 780 support guide: "Super Smoke: No"), Cook Cycle, and the pellet level reading (only with the optional pellet sensor, BAC523). Traeger's UK Pro 575 page, for the same controller, names TurboTemp, a firmware feature for faster heat recovery; the manual shows no menu item for it.
The app, the meat probe and the self test
The manual and Traeger support.
- Install the Traeger app, with your phone on your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi.
- Switch the grill on, wait for the home screen, and follow the app to pair it.
- Leave it connected and in standby so it receives firmware updates.
- Plug the meat probe into the jack and push its tip at least 5 cm (2 in) into the thickest part of the meat (the manual).
- If the probe reads wrong, calibrate it: MENU > Settings > Probe Calibration.
- To test the parts (grill cold): switch off, hold MENU and IGNITE, switch on, press the dial. "System Test" then Grill I/O turns the fan, auger and igniter on and off one by one (Traeger support).
