This guide is built from our Pro 575 guide: Traeger writes one manual, one assembly guide and almost every support article for both grills, so the jobs are the same, with the Pro 780's part numbers, sizes and casters. The 3D model is the Pro 575's stretched to Traeger's published 30 in (762 mm) barrel; where the firepot sits along the barrel, the drip tray's length and the caster size are our estimates.
Steps marked "the manual" are from Traeger's Pro 575 and 780 owner's manual in Global (UK/EU) English, DOC419-A (2021). The US edition DOC419V-A differs only in the warranty's short terms. The 2018 US launch manual is named where it differs. Assembly is from the assembly guide DOC433 REV A (2023). Repairs are from Traeger's support articles for D2 WiFIRE grills, read 11 Oct 2026. The brisket is Traeger's own recipe. Owner methods are marked. Nothing here was checked on a grill.
Not settled, and flagged where they appear: the auger number (KIT0431 or KIT0426); the height (Traeger 1382 mm; the model 1346 mm); whether the casters lock; the firepot fixings (screws or wing nuts); the hot rod set screw; the access panel (2 or 4 screws); the hopper fixings inside the barrel; the chimney fixing; the sizes of the spanner and hex key in the box; the clean-out door fastener; grease-fire wording (page 3 or page 19); Clear Auger timing; the UK power cord number; and UK parts supply. Traeger publishes no torque figures and no service intervals beyond cleaning.
Sizes: 1237 mm wide, 678 mm deep and 1382 mm high (Traeger's Pro 780 support guide; its spec drawings say 140 cm and 55 in high); 66 kg (145 lb; the product pages say 150 lb). Barrel 762 mm (30 in); grates 76 × 48 cm and 76 × 18 cm, 780 sq in; hopper 8.2 kg (18 lb; the support guide says 19 lb); 17,500 BTU; 260 °C (500 °F) maximum.
