Know the grill
The barrel, lid, chimney and legs
Tap a part to see what it does. The names are Traeger's: grill door (the lid), barrel, hopper, firepot, hot rod, heat baffle, grease drip tray.
"Left" and "right" in this guide are as you face the front: the hopper and controller are on the right, the chimney and grease bucket on the left.
Inside the barrel
Pellets burn in the firepot; the heat baffle and drip tray spread the heat and catch the fat, and the fat runs left to the bucket. The controller holds the temperature by feeding more or fewer pellets.
The hopper and controller
There is no fuse anywhere on this grill (Traeger support). There is no pellet sensor either unless you fit the optional BAC523.
