Controller replacement

Replace the WiFIRE controller

Main power switch off, cord unplugged, grill cold. The manual: "Disconnect the power cord before servicing the grill." Use a hand screwdriver, not a power drill: Traeger support says power tools strip these screws.

Traeger support, "WiFIRE Controller Replacement: D2 Grills". Controller KIT0410, sold for the Pro 780 only, though it looks the same as the Pro 575's. For the knob only: KIT0580, pull off and push on.

  1. Unplug the grill.
  2. Remove the 4 controller screws.
  3. Unplug the keyed plugs and push them into the new controller. "Replace all components and wire harnesses that come included with the replacement KIT."
  4. Refit the 4 screws by hand.
  5. Power on, and put the new QR sticker from the kit under the hopper in place of the old one.
  6. Pair it with the app again.
