Covers, rain and cold
The manual and Traeger support.
Cover the grill when you are not using it, and only when it is cool (cover BAC503).
Never store the cover under the grill. Wipe it clean; do not machine-wash it (Traeger support).
Rain and light snow are fine to cook in, but keep the cord and any extension-cord joint out of water and snow (the manual).
Use an extension cord only if it is outdoor-rated, earthed and No. 14 AWG, inspected, not joined to another, and not run through a window or door (the manual).
In cold weather expect slower starts, more pellets and cooler running. Shelter it from wind. Below freezing, fit Traeger's insulation blanket (BAC626), only when the grill is cool.
Below −29 °C (−20 °F) the display may be damaged (the manual).
