Chimney: clean and set the cap gap

Clean the chimney, set the cap at 2 cm

The manual: inspect the exhaust for creosote "at least twice a year". The method is Traeger support's.

  1. Make sure the grill is cold and unplugged.
  2. Unscrew the chimney cap.
  3. Clean the pipe with a brush, or a rag held in tongs.
  4. Vacuum out the loose soot.
  5. Screw the cap back on, leaving a gap of 2 cm (3/4 in) above the pipe.
