Before storing it, and spring check

Put it away, and wake it up in spring

Traeger support and the manual.

  1. Run the full shut-down cycle and let it cool.
  2. Empty the hopper and vacuum out the sawdust (Traeger support).
  3. Do a deep clean.
  4. Unplug it and cover it. Keep nothing flammable in the space under the grill (the manual).
  5. In spring, look inside the barrel and hopper for mould, and clean it fully if you find any (Traeger support).
  6. Test fire it before the first cook.
