Smoke from the hopper
Smoke coming out of the hopper
Traeger support, "Smoke Coming out of Hopper", which says it is more common on non-WiFi grills like this one.
- During the cook: the chimney cap screwed down too far (set 2 cm, 3/4 in), a blocked chimney, ash in the barrel, or a weak or dirty induction fan.
- At shut-down (burn-back): before the shut-down cycle, turn the dial to SMOKE and let the grill drop below 107 °C (225 °F), then turn it to SHUT DOWN CYCLE.
