Controller replacement

Replace the Digital Pro controller

Power switch off, cord unplugged, grill cold. The manual: "Disconnect the power cord before servicing the grill." Use hand tools, not a power drill (Traeger support).

Traeger support, "How to Replace the Controller on Non-Connected Grills". Controller KIT0746 (with dual meat probes).

1. Unplug the grill and remove the bottom grate under the hopper.
2. Unplug the 4 plug pairs under the hopper: red and white (auger motor), orange and white (fan), purple and white (hot rod), black and white (power cord).
3. Remove the 2 screws on the front and pull the controller out.
4. Unscrew the RTD's 2 white wires from the green terminal block.
5. Fit the new controller in reverse: RTD wires in, plugs colour to colour (the hot rod's purple and white to its tan wires), then the 2 screws by hand.
6. Tie the wires clear of the fans, refit the grate, and test.
