Chimney: clean and set the cap gap

Clean the chimney, set the cap at 2 cm

The manual, page 24, and Traeger support's chimney article.

  1. Make sure the grill is cold and unplugged.
  2. Unscrew the chimney cap.
  3. Scrape the creosote out of the upright and the horizontal pipe with a stiff non-metal tool (the manual suggests a wooden paint stirrer), or a brush.
  4. Vacuum out the loose soot. Do not spray water into it (the manual).
  5. Screw the cap back on, leaving a gap of 2 cm (3/4 in) above the pipe.
