Assemble it
Side handle and legs
Outdoors only, never in a garage or any enclosed space (carbon monoxide). Keep it at least 45.7 cm (18 in) from anything that burns and 102 cm (40 in) below any overhang, on level, non-combustible ground. Plug it into an earthed outlet protected by an RCD (the manual says GFCI, the US name for the same device).
The assembly guide (2023, "Pro AC"). You need a helper to lift the grill. Work on a clean, flat surface.
- Take everything out of the barrel and the hopper: grates, drip tray, heat baffle, chimney, handles, bucket, probe and the hardware pack.
- Fit the side lift handle on the right (chimney) end. No bolts for it are in the pack: they come on the grill.
- With your helper, lay the grill on its back on the packing.
- Fit the 2 wheeled legs at the hopper (left) end, each with 2 socket-head bolts A (5/16"-18).
- Build each bolt in the guide's order: bolt A, washer B, the leg, washer B, spring washer C, nut D. Hold the bolt with the hex key and tighten the nut with the spanner.
- Fit the 2 fixed legs at the chimney end the same way.
What is in the box. The grill body with the hopper, Digital Pro controller, lid and fixed power cord, packed with the 2 wheeled legs and 2 fixed legs, 2 leg braces, the side lift handle and lid handle (their bolts are on the grill), the chimney pipe, cap and gasket, the heat baffle, the grease drip tray, the main grate and extra grill rack, the grease bucket and the meat probes, plus a blister pack of 8 leg bolts, washers, spring washers and nuts, 8 brace screws and 2 chimney screws with washers, and a spanner, a hex key and a Phillips screwdriver (assembly guide "Pro AC", 2023). About 46.5 kg: two people to lift it. The cover is sold separately.
Braces, chimney and the rest
The assembly guide, continued.
- Fit the 2 leg braces, one across each end, with 4 Phillips screws E (1/4"-20 × 0.59 in) each.
- With your helper, stand the grill up.
- Fit the chimney pipe on the right end, with its ring gasket, using 2 Phillips screws F (1/4"-20 × 0.5 in) and washers G. Then screw on the cap.
- Fit the lid handle with its 2 bolts, which come on the grill.
- Inside, set the heat baffle over the firepot, then the drip tray on its ledges sloping down to the right (to the grease drain), then the main grate and the extra rack.
- Hang the grease bucket on its hook under the drain, and check the pellet guard in the hopper is in place. Then season it.
