Traeger Pro 22 Maintenance Guide

Traeger Pro 22

The Traeger Pro 22 (sold as the Pro Series 22, now "Pro 22 (Gen 1)"): a wood-pellet grill with the hopper on the left that feeds pellets by auger into a firepot under the barrel. It has the Digital Pro dial controller, two meat-probe jacks, a fuse, and no Wi-Fi. US model TFB57PZB (bronze), Canada TFB57PUBC (blue); it was also sold as TFB57PUBG in the UK and TFB57PUBE in the EU.

It is late in its life: traeger.com US lists it out of stock ("only available at your local retailer"), the blue US model is discontinued, and Traeger UK and Traeger's EU stores are out of stock. Its Gen 2 successor is the Traeger Pro 575.

Everything follows Traeger's current Pro 22/34 owner's manual (833853, 2022), called "the manual" here, with the 2023 assembly guide, the 2015 manual and Traeger's support articles where they add detail. Owner and retailer methods are named where they are used.

Outdoors only, never in a garage or any enclosed space (carbon monoxide). Keep it at least 45.7 cm (18 in) from anything that burns and 102 cm (40 in) below any overhang, on level, non-combustible ground. Plug it into an earthed outlet protected by an RCD (the manual says GFCI, the US name for the same device).
