Clean the stone

Burn it off, brush it cold, flip it

Ooni's help centre and the Essentials Guide. Stains and colour changes are normal.

1. Burn it off: run the oven on full for about 30 minutes, or let the next preheat do it.
2. Let the oven and the stone go completely cold.
3. Sweep the stone with the bristle side of the Ooni brush, flip to the stainless scraper for burnt bits, and sweep them out of the mouth.
4. When spills build up, lift the stone and turn it over. The next preheat cleans the underside.
5. Never use water, soap, cleaning products or a dishwasher on it.
