Use a 1 lb camping tank

A 1 lb (440 g) camping tank

Ooni's help centre. Of the Koda ovens, only the Koda 12 may run from a small camping tank. The model shows a 5 kg cylinder in its place.

1. Get the right part. US: the Ooni Gas Tank Adaptor (US). UK: a camping-gas regulator in place of the patio one (Coleman-type bottles need a different one again). Elsewhere in Europe: ask a gas specialist.
2. US: with the knob off, screw the adaptor onto the supplied regulator first, never onto the tank first.
3. Screw the tank onto the adaptor by hand, and stand the tank upright.
4. Do the leak test with soapy water. Never dip the adaptor in water.
5. When you finish, unscrew the tank first, then the adaptor from the regulator.
6. Push the knob in and turn it, without letting it click, to let out the gas left in the hose.
