Rust or fading

Rust spots, colour change or a faded shell

Cosmetic. The black shell may fade over time (the manual), and the steel inside changes colour with heat (Essentials Guide); neither affects cooking. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it at once; inside, dry paper towel only. Keep it covered and dry, and near the sea store it indoors (Essentials Guide).
