First fire and seasoning

Season it: 30 minutes on full

Outdoors only. The manuals: never in a building, garage or any enclosed area, never on or under a balcony or deck, and never on a boat or in a vehicle. Burning gas makes carbon monoxide, which you cannot see or smell.

The Essentials Guide: seasoning "will burn off any oils or coatings that are remnants from the manufacturing process".

1. Put the stone in and do the leak test.
2. Light it and turn the knob to Max.
3. Run it empty for 30 minutes before you cook anything.
4. Turn it off and let it cool completely.
5. Wipe the inside with dry paper towels, wearing gloves.
