Monolith LeCHEF Pro-Series 2.0 Maintenance Guide
Monolith LeCHEF Pro-Series 2.0
The LeCHEF Pro-Series 2.0 (item 121030, here on its cart with two bamboo side tables): Monolith's largest ceramic charcoal grill (a kamado), with a 52 cm cooking grid. It shares the Pro 2.0 design with the Classic: stainless bands with a fibreglass gasket, a sprung hinge, the same cast-iron cap with a slide, a five-piece firebox, the Smart Grid System and a port for a BBQ Guru fan.
How it differs from the Classic: a 52 cm grid against 44 cm, more room on every cooking level (the 2019 FAQ: 4 to 5 pork necks per level against the Classic's 3), a much wider draft door, a bamboo handle you fit yourself, and about 140 kg of grill against 85 kg.
Since 2025 Monolith sells the same ceramic as the TWO.66, with a new cart: its quick start guide gives the LeChef's set-up steps under ".66". Most jobs here apply to it too.
Everything follows Monolith's Pro-Serie 2.0 manual ("the manual", German only, written for the Classic and LeChef together) and the 2025 quick start guide. Monolith's 2019 FAQ and the Classic's 2016 hinge sheet were written for older grills, and each step that uses them says so. The dome is heavy and held open by springs. The manual: "Do not underestimate the high weight of the lid." Never just let go of it when you close it, keep hands and tools out from between dome and base, and replace damaged springs at once.
