Flames when I open it

Flames burst out when I open the lid

A flashback: the lid was opened fast on a starved fire. The manual's cure: Open the lid 4 to 5 cm first and wait a moment so air flows in slowly, standing to the side in gloves (the manual). If it happens, close the lid and both vents.
