Before storing it, and mould

Store it, and deal with mould

The manual and the 2019 FAQ.

  1. Take leftover charcoal out if the grill will stand unused for a while: it draws moisture.
  2. Cover it with both vents open.
  3. If mould grows inside, scrape or brush it off. It is harmless, says the manual.
  4. Light the grill and raise the temperature slowly so the moisture can evaporate.
  5. Then take it higher and burn off all the residue.
