Monolith Junior Pro-Series 2.0 Maintenance Guide
Monolith Junior Pro-Series 2.0
The Junior Pro-Series 2.0 (item 121021, here on its three-leg cart 201027; 121022 is the same grill on three ceramic feet): Monolith's small ceramic charcoal grill (a kamado), with a 33 cm cooking grid. The grill weighs about 35 kg, 41 kg with the cart (store). What marks the Pro 2.0: stainless bands with a fibreglass gasket, a quick-release hinge whose lid lifts off, a cast-iron cap with a slide, a one-piece firebox on a protector stone, two side carry handles and a port for a BBQ Guru fan.
The Junior 2.0 is still on sale: Monolith's store sells it in black and red, with or without the cart (11 Oct 2026). Its sister model, the tabletop ICON, shares the Junior's lid, hinge, cap, grid, handle and thermometer on a lower base. The ICON is not a successor, and its manual is the only English text for the hinge.
Everything follows Monolith's Pro-Serie 2.0 manual ("the manual", German only), the 2025 quick start guide and the ICON manual. Monolith's 2019 FAQ and the Classic's 2016 hinge sheet were written for older grills, and each step that uses them says so. The lid is heavy and held open by springs. The manual: "Do not underestimate the high weight of the lid." Never just let go of it when you close it, keep hands and tools out from between lid and base, and replace damaged springs at once.
