The dome won't stay open

The dome will not stay open, or the hinge creaks

The dome is heavy and held open by springs. The manual: "Do not underestimate the high weight of the lid." Never just let go of it when you close it, keep hands and tools out from between dome and base, and replace damaged springs at once.

• Loose hinge nuts or brackets that are not parallel (2019 FAQ and 2016 sheet, older hinge).
• A weak or damaged spring. The manual: replace damaged springs at once. On the Pro 2.0, through the dealer.
