Covers, rain and frost

The manual, with the 2019 FAQ for the cold.

  1. Cover the grill once it is cold. Monolith sells the Classic cover 201010.
  2. Leave both vents open under the cover so air moves through it (the manual).
  3. Lift the cover off now and then to air it, or mould, corrosion and bamboo damage follow (2019 FAQ).
  4. Leave it out in winter if you like: the ceramic is fully frost-proof (2019 FAQ). Keep it covered or sheltered so water does not collect.
  5. In very cold weather, heat it up slowly. It uses only a little more charcoal.
