Shut it down after the cook

The 2024 manual's shut-down.

1. Close the draft door completely.
2. Clean the grate with a scraper or brush while it is hot, in gloves. Above 175 °C (350 °F), lift the dome 5 to 8 cm for about 5 seconds before you open it fully, face and body clear.
3. Close the dome; once it is below 205 °C (400 °F), close the top vent: cap over the throat and the disc turned shut.
4. Wait until the dome is cool to the touch, 45 °C (115 °F), before you cover or clean it.
