Kamado Joe gives no advice. Owners and other kamado makers: the wet gasket has frozen, and felt holds more water than mesh. Wait for it to thaw (some owners light a small fire to thaw it); never force or lever the dome, which tears the gasket or chips the rim. In freezing weather some lay foil or cling film between the gasket faces. Once it opens, heat slowly.
