The glaze and the Kontrol Tower

1. Wait until the grill is cool.
2. Wipe the glaze with a damp cloth and a little soapy water, with gentle pressure.
3. Swing the Kontrol Tower's cap open and wash it with soapy water, top and underside.
4. Lift the top off if you need to: Kamado Joe says it "pops right off" for cleaning.
5. Leave the gasket alone. The manual: gently wipe off spills only, no chemicals, no scrubbing.
6. Wipe the hinge and the cart.

Light cracking in the glaze (crazing) is normal, says the manual.
