Above the seam the two are the same grill: dome, bands, Air Lift hinge, latch, gasket, Kontrol Tower and thermometer are the same parts, and so are the six-wall firebox pieces. Below it they differ:

• Base: the III's is taller, BJ-CB24RCI (size guide: base 23.3 in against 20.1 in).
• Rack: the III has a 3-tier Divide & Conquer (9009190039) and a SlōRoller in the box, with its 260 °C (500 °F) limit. The II has the 2-tier BJ-FCR.
• Cart: the III's is a knock-down cart with a lower shelf and aluminium side shelves; the II has the tube cart with a top hoop and slatted shelves.

Tell them apart: no lower cart shelf, no SlōRoller and slatted shelves mean a II. The hinge, band, gasket, latch, tower, thermometer, firebox and dome jobs in this guide fit a III too; the base, rack and cart parts do not. US prices on 11 and 12 Oct 2026: II $2,299.99, III $3,299.99, both with cart.
