Winter care
Cold weather and damp
Gozney says little about winter. The manual's only lines: a cold cylinder gives a weak flame, and cold and wind slow the heat-up.
- Keep it dry and covered: see before storing it.
- Allow a longer heat-up in the cold, and stand it somewhere sheltered (the manual).
- Expect a weaker flame from a cold cylinder (the manual).
- After damp storage, start on low for a while, as in the first firing, before going to high. This is this guide's reading, not a Gozney instruction.
- Use propane in the cold: butane stops turning to gas near 0 °C. This is general gas knowledge, not Gozney's.
