Before and after each cook

1. Before each firing, check the oven, hose and connections for cracks, damage, rust and loose fittings.
2. Look in the burner and its venturi (the air tube) for food, insects and nests, and clean the burner if needed.
3. Keep children and pets away, and never leave the oven unattended while it is lit.
4. Turn it off: cylinder valve first, then the dial.
5. Hand-wash the peel in soapy water, never in the dishwasher (US manual).
6. Let the oven cool where it stands, and cover it only when cold.
