Connect the gas
Cylinder, regulator and hose
The manual. Never use natural gas: "It can damage the oven".
Use propane in a cylinder of 4 to 13 kg (9 to 29 lb) with a safety collar, never rusty, dented or with a damaged valve. In the UK and EU butane is also certified.
Stand the cylinder upright, outdoors, beside the oven and never under it. One cylinder only, with no spare nearby.
Close the cylinder valve and turn the control dial off (vertical).
Fit the regulator made for your country by hand: in the UK, the 37 mbar regulator pushes down until it clicks; in the US and Canada it screws on. Never force it.
Lay the hose with no twists, away from hot surfaces and direct sun.
Regulators by country (help centre): UK 37 mbar push-fit; EU 30, 37 or 50 mbar depending on the country; US and Canada screw-on; Australia left-hand thread, 5/8-18 UNF inlet.
