Before storing it

Store it dry, burner off

The 2016 book: "Don't leave your Roccbox outside to be exposed to the elements."

  1. Let it go completely cold.
  2. Close the cylinder valve and take the regulator off the cylinder.
  3. Twist the burner off and fold the 3 legs flat under the base.
  4. Keep the regulator and hose out of direct sun: sun damage to the regulator is not covered by the warranty.
  5. Store the oven upright, somewhere dry and secure, out of the weather.
  6. Keep gas cylinders outdoors, never in an enclosed space or below ground.

The Roccbox Cover (AR1396 UK/EU, AR1583 US) keeps rain, snow and sun off during storage. Take the mantel off first: the cover does not fit over it (help centre).
