Covered-area flue: engineer only
Under a roof: a flue engineer only
This is not an owner job. The help centre: any flue for a covered area "must be specified and installed by a certified flue engineer". That means a pergola, gazebo, porch canopy, balcony, veranda or any partly enclosed area.
- The flue must end above the roof, never below it, and be rated for 350 °C flue gas.
- At least 350 mm from the oven top to a non-combustible roof.
- The flue joins the lower collar at 124 mm (5 in) outer diameter; runs mostly vertical, any short horizontal run sloping at least 3°.
- Gozney sells no Gen 2 flue extension. The Gen 1 extension does not fit.
Never under a balcony or deck, and never indoors at home. Indoor commercial use is a UK and EU option only, with Gozney's Commercial Kit and EN 203-1 extraction (help centre).
