Clean the stone

Clean the stones by heat

The manual (pp. 61 and 65) and Gozney's "Care and maintenance" video.

1. Run the oven above 343 °C (650 °F) for about 3 hours: burnt-on food burns off (the video says 2 to 3 hours).
2. Let it go fully cold.
3. Loosen what is left with a soft brush, without pressing hard.
4. Vacuum up the loose bits with a plastic nozzle.
5. Leave dark patches: marks on the stones are normal and not a fault.
6. Never pour or spray water, soap or chemicals onto the stones or inside the oven.
