Replace the stone
A new stone: what is known
The stone kit PA1844 holds the stone, stone removal handles, a stone adjustment tool, a landing bay protective screen and gloves (Gozney's store). Gozney publishes no method for taking the stone out, and the manual says not to remove it for cleaning. Ask Gozney before you start.
- What is known: the stone is loose and one piece; the burner guard stands on it; the adjustment tool pulls it forward. Work only on a cold oven, with gloves: cordierite edges are sharp and chip easily.
- A reviewer's way: Tom's Guide (Arc XL review) says that without the kit you tip the oven on its side and support the stone out, a two-person job, after taking it off any stand. That is not Gozney's method.
- After fitting: pull it forward, refit the burner guard, and cure it again.
- Prices: £74.99 UK, $84.99 US, €89.99 EU (Gozney's stores, 13 Oct 2026). The Arc XL's stone is PA1845 and does not fit the Arc.
