Fit the batteries

Igniter battery and display batteries

The manual (pp. 25, 26 and 35). Tom's Guide found the batteries supplied.

1. Pull the temperature display straight off the front of the dock: magnets hold it.
2. Unscrew the cap on the ignition module, inside the bay to the left.
3. Put in 1 AAA battery, negative end first, and screw the cap back on.
4. Undo the 1 screw on the display's back cover, fit 2 × AA the way the holder shows, and refit the cover.
5. Take the plastic cap off the probe's jack in the bay and plug it into the back of the display.
6. Push the display back onto the dock and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
