Clean the venturi

Vacuum the venturi

The manual (p. 46). The venturi is the tube that mixes air into the gas on its way to the burner; on the model it runs from the dial to the burner.

  1. Check the cause first: a flame that is overly yellow or noisier than usual can mean debris in the venturi.
  2. Take the bottom panel off.
  3. Vacuum the venturi with a vacuum cleaner that has a long plastic nose.
  4. Clear any nests, insects or debris from inside the dock: nests "can be dangerous and must be cleaned out thoroughly".
  5. Leave the gas valve, injector, flame failure device and wires alone.
  6. Refit the panel and its 8 screws, roll the oven upright, reconnect the gas and leak test it.
