Slow to heat up
It is slow to heat up
- What reviewers saw: stone to 400 °C in about 15 to 20 minutes (Tom's Guide); about 37 minutes to 450 °C outdoors in winter (Livingetc). Gozney gives no heat-up time for the Arc XL.
- Causes: cold weather, wind, a small or nearly empty cylinder, a first firing, or damp from storage (the manual; reviews).
- Fix: shelter it, keep it covered and dry, use a bigger cylinder, and cure it again after a long idle spell.
