E1 on the display

The display shows E1

The manual (p. 27): "A loose connection where the jack plug connects to the thermometer", or "Damage to the probe. The probe may need replacing." Pull the display forward, push the jack fully into the socket on its back, refit. If E1 stays, replace the probe.
