  1. Make sure the fire is completely out and everything is cold (BGE US).
  2. Check the grid was brushed at shut-down (BGE Europe).
  3. Leave the draft door fully open while it stands unused (BGE Europe), so air moves through.
  4. Leave the rEGGulator open once the EGG is cold.
  5. Cover it with a ventilated cover in a sheltered spot (BGE US).
  6. If mould appears, fire it to 180 °C for about 15 minutes before cooking (BGE Europe FAQ).
