Replace the thermometer

Fit a new dome thermometer

The 2026 manual (step 8a) and BGE US's product page: "Easy installation with included silicone washer and retaining clip". No tool needed.

  1. With the EGG cold, open the dome.
  2. Slide the retaining clip off the stem inside the dome.
  3. Draw the old thermometer out from the front.
  4. Fit the new silicone washer on the new stem and push it through from outside.
  5. Fit the clip on the stem inside.
  6. Check it in boiling water.
