Flames out of the top

Flames come out of the top or the gasket

Over-firing. Every manual: "When flame spills out of the EGG, you are over-firing." Close the draft door and the rEGGulator at once and let it come down. Very high heat scorches the felt and the hinge and can crack the fire ring (BGE Europe).
